Terms of Service

What Snapjar is
Snapjar lets a host create a shared photo album for an event. Guests with the album's link or QR code can view it and add photos. Free albums hold up to 25 photos. The Party upgrade, $19.99 one time per album, removes the photo limit and keeps the gallery available for one year from purchase.
Your content stays yours
You keep all rights to the photos you upload. You give us only the permission we need to run the service: storing your photos and displaying them to people who have access to the album. That permission ends when the content is deleted. We claim nothing else.
What you're responsible for
- Only upload photos you took or have the right to share, including being mindful of the people in them.
- Don't upload anything illegal, hateful, or harassing, and nothing sexually explicit involving minors, which we will report.
- Hosts can delete any photo in their album and are responsible for what they choose to keep.
- Keep your account credentials to yourself if you make an account.
We can remove content or entire albums that violate these rules, and suspend repeat offenders.
Payments and refunds
The Party upgrade is a one-time $19.99 payment per album, processed by Stripe. If the paid features genuinely fail during your event and we can't make it right, email us within 7 days and we'll refund you in full. We're not interested in keeping money for a product that didn't work when it mattered.
Album lifetime
Free albums are intended for short-term sharing. Paid albums stay available for at least one year from purchase. Download your photos while your album is active; this is a sharing service, not a permanent archive or a backup product.
The honest disclaimers
Snapjar is provided as-is. We work hard to keep it fast and available, especially on weekends when your events happen, but we can't promise perfection, and we're not liable for indirect damages like lost memories or missed moments. Our total liability for anything related to the service is capped at the amount you paid us for the album in question. If you paid nothing, it's capped at nothing.
Accounts
Accounts are optional and free. You can delete yours any time in Settings. Deleting your account doesn't automatically delete your albums, so remove those first if you want them gone.
Changes to these terms
If we change these terms meaningfully, we'll update the date above. Continuing to use Snapjar after a change means you accept the new terms.
